Their next destination was Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House for a delicious breakfast. Arriving before 9 AM was a delightful advantage, as they were able to take advantage of the $6.99 breakfast special.
They thought the food was fantastic, and the service exceeded expectations.
They were greeted by a wonderfully friendly waitress who was both patient and kind.
Accessibility was commendable, featuring wider walkways and well-equipped accessible washrooms. While the entryway could use some improvement for a five-star rating, it was still quite manageable.
Overall, the experience was highly enjoyable, and they definitely intend to return!
There aren't many places that offer a breakfast experience like this!

Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House
1202 Lambton Mall Rd.
Sarnia ON

Mucho Burrito
1107 Lambton Mall Rd,
Sarnia ON

This duo decided to visit Mucho Burrito on Lambton Mall Road.
We arrived without any difficulties! The accessibility was exceptional, meeting all requirements for easy entry to the restaurant. With wide open spaces and smooth transitions, it was a breeze to navigate.
The atmosphere was clean and clutter-free, complemented by warm and inviting decor!
The service was outstanding, provided by friendly and courteous staff!
As for the food, it was fantastic—delicious and exactly as ordered! There were plenty of choices, and there was no need to ask, “Where’s the beef?”
It appeared to be a popular lunch spot, with numerous customers coming and going. Everyone left promptly, thanks to the quick service.
However, the prices were a bit steep, leaving a noticeable dent in the wallet after that meal!
Overall, both our stomachs and minds were thoroughly satisfied, even if our wallets felt the pinch!

Double Trouble!
Shea and Randy, our dynamic duo on a mission to munch, mingle, and make memories, took their taste buds to Two Amigos in March—and boy, were they in for a treat!
Getting in was a bit of an adventure, like a quest without a magic button. But once they made it inside, the seating was as cozy as a warm hug. Rolling in a wheelchair might have been a bit of a challenge, but fear not, the helpful crew would've ensured a smooth arrival!
The moment they'd been waiting for finally arrived: food, service, and prices! The service was top-notch, with a server who was so friendly, they even struck a pose for a selfie!
As for the food? It was a festival of flavors with heaps of choices and hearty portions that left their taste buds singing!
The prices? As friendly as the service!? The atmosphere? Pure small-town charm.
All in all, a fabulous fiesta of a dining experience!

Swiss Chalet
1283 London Rd.

This duo chose to visit Swiss Chalet!
We encountered yet another non-functional accessibility button!
Thanks to the assistance of a young man at the entrance, we managed to get inside without much hassle!
We briefly discussed how a large chain like Swiss Chalet could lack a working accessibility door before we turned our attention to the menu. The remainder of the experience was quite accessible, featuring plenty of space and smooth opportunities to navigate.
They struck gold with the two-for-one meal deal, and the service was excellent!
As fans of Swiss Chalet, it certainly lived up to our expectations!

Sunset Grill
1440 Quinn Dr, Sarnia, ON
These two adventurers set their sights on the Sunset Grill in Sarnia, lured by the all-day breakfast! Getting inside, though, was a bit of a Mission: Impossible moment—the so-called accessible door was more for show than go. With assistance, they finally made it inside, only to discover the same door drama in the bathroom!
Once past the door debacles, they were greeted by a delightful server who aced the kindness and courtesy test. Now, onto the main event: the grub! The food was scrumptious and the portions could rival a mountain, but the prices? Let's just say the wallet felt a little lighter. They've seen worse, but still!
In hindsight, they realized they could've easily shared a plate to balance out the bill and the belly. As for ratings? They both agreed on the stars, giving the food and service a thumbs-up. The real letdown, however, was the door troubles, especially considering how crucial accessibility can be for many.

Twisted Arm

Randy and Shea embarked on a quest to conquer the Twisted Arm restaurant, where getting in was like a real-life game of Tetris! The door swung out opposite of the ramp like it was doing its own dance number, challenging them to a five-point turn on a skinny sidewalk. Once inside, it was like an obstacle course with heavy doors and a juggling act for those with sight issues and walkers. The so-called "accessibility" section had a step, making wheelchairs say, "Nope!" Without a trusty sidekick, this escapade would have been a no-go!
The food was tasty but priced like it was dipped in gold, especially those fries—probably made with actual Yukon "gold" potatoes! The service improved once the initial "settle-down shuffle" was over.

Cromwell Grill
137 Cromwell St
Sarnia ON
Randy and Shea’s adventure led them to the cozy confines of the Cromwell Grill. Reminiscing about the good ol’ days spent there, they braced themselves for the tight squeeze inside. In a strategic move, they left Randy’s walker in the car, with support Randy had a trusty guide through the rows of tables. Even the servers seemed to be performing a graceful dance around the compact space!
Definitely not walker or wheelchair-friendly territory!
Once seated, they couldn’t stop raving about the delightful combo of service, food, and prices—giving the whole experience a resounding five stars! The service was like a gentle breeze: swift, friendly, and courteous. The prices? Just right, keeping pace with other eateries. And let’s not forget the burgers, a smash hit, and the soup, a savory sensation!

Village Gardens
128 East Street N
Randy and Shea decided to embark on a culinary adventure to the Village Garden on East Street. Their first quest? Conquering the double doors—not exactly a breeze without automatic help! The always caring Randy pondered how a wheelchair might tackle this entrance. Once inside, they found the space "a bit snug," but hey, they made it work! They didn’t use the washroom but noted it was in a tight hallway.
The highlight? A waitress who was all sunshine and rainbows, making their day with her cheery vibes. And the prices? "Reasonable" is code for "score," especially when the half-price menu made a grand entrance! The food was "good," though Randy and Shea had a mini-debate over their ratings for food and service. After some friendly chatter, they finally reached a verdict.
